stitch-in protest

January 2026

In collaboration with local artist Sew Loka and small business Material Happiness, I organized a “Stitch-In Protest” in Barrio Logan in solidarity with the nationwide shutdown in the U.S.

Approximately 120 participants learned basic sewing techniques to create one-of-a-kind banners and patches for upcoming protests and left with a renewed sense of hope and kinship amid the current political climate.
